WINNER OF THE 2008 AMATEUR GUN DOG STAKE AT THE ISCA NATIONAL HUNT TEST AND WALKING FIELD TRIAL!

Flynn was our first Irish Setter and has created in both of us a love for the breed as a stylish functional bird dog as well as a gorgeous dog to take into the showring. Flynners has brought a new brightness to our lives and keeps us laughing most days. He apparently read the breed standard that calls for a rollicking personality!

He has done incredibly well in the ring and field. Born 5/15/03 and bred and co-owned by Bill & Linda Hobbins he is sired by Ch Orchard Farm Daryn and out of Ch Irish Gold Wandrin Starr. He earned 9 of his points owner-handled in the tough Irish Setter ring and along the way also won a Bred-By Sporting Group first being shown by Bill. His majors were earned under the capable hands of Jeff & Becky Arch in one weekend of showing. He finished his championship in 2006 and before that he earned both a Rally Novice title and a Junior Hunter title. In spring of 2008 Flynn showed us his true mettle by becoming consistant in this regions very competitive Gun Dog stakes and getting into the ribbons twice. We looked forward with great anticipation to the fall of 2008 and he did not let us down; winning his first field trial blue in an Amateur Gun Dog stake at an ISCA national event. Flynn is now working on his dual title and we have high hopes he will attain it. He leaves no doubt in our minds that his favorite place is in the bird field!
