Sharp Dressed Dogs

In Loving Memory of Lakerun's Sharp Dressed Man CD RN   5/24/96-10/11/07

Sam went to the Rainbow Bridge on October 11, 2007. Sammy gave us our kennel name from his registered name of Sharp Dressed Man. I was hoping to be able to show Sam but unfortunately he went oversize so we concentrated on hunting and some obedience through the years. Sam easily earned his CD with three placements in three straight shows and at the age of 8 went back into the ring to earn his Rally Novice title with high scores. He also earned much happy applause from the crowds as he strutted his stuff- gray face and all and made it apparent to the spectators that he was having a grand time being the center of attention in the ring.

Sam was a very beloved part of our family since even before Carl and I married. He saw me through good times and bad and I am glad we had those 11 years together. Sam taught Carl about upland bird hunting and although I read the books it was Sam who taught me more about training a dog than I think I ever was able to teach him. Much love Sammy- you are missed.
